PAYING FOR SPECIALIST CARE
In paying for acute or specialist care, it is vitally
important to first of all determine the extent of any state funding
entitlement as in some cases this will meet the full cost of care.
In circumstances where there is a requirement for
some or all of the cost to be met by the individual, specialist
advise should be sought.
In some circumstances, charitable or voluntary
services may be available to assist with a specialist care need
without charge to the individual. This might typically include MacMillan
Nurses and hospice accommodation.
